Reaching Out
Choosing to seek help for addictive behaviours and underlying mental health conditions is a powerful decision that can bring hope and a sense of freedom. A key part of sustaining this decision is understanding what your recovery process will entail. With various recovery options available, having a clear understanding of your treatment plan can significantly enhance your chances of success and fulfilment throughout the process.
The Beekeeper was founded to provide comprehensive care for individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders, which involve the simultaneous presence of addiction and mental health conditions. By combining evidence-based mental health therapies with traditional Eastern healing practices, The Beekeeper Sri Lanka offers a flexible and individualised treatment approach tailored to your specific needs.
Connect With Our Team
Once you’ve decided to reach out to the team at The Beekeeper Sri Lanka, we will connect you with our admissions team. During this initial step, we will conduct a preliminary assessment to understand your needs and ensure that we are the best fit to support your recovery.
Our commitment is to make sure that The Beekeeper is the right place for you to receive the help and care you deserve. In some cases, if we believe another partner organisation may be better suited to your specific needs, we will refer you to them.
If we mutually agree that The Beekeeper is the right place for you, this initial assessment will lay the foundation for your journey with us. It will also help us begin planning for your arrival. Throughout this process, our admissions team will be a critical and supportive point of contact, and the preliminary assessment will serve as the basis for your more comprehensive initial assessment upon arrival.
laying the groundwork
The initial assessment at The Beekeeper will build upon the preliminary evaluation conducted through phone or videoconference before your arrival. Upon your arrival, a comprehensive evaluation will take place, led by a physician and a therapist. Together, they will assess your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, helping to develop the most appropriate treatment plan for you.
Before you arrive at The Beekeeper, our physician will work with you to determine whether you need medical detoxification. Most detox needs can be managed onsite at our centre, but if a more extensive detox is required, we will arrange for you to be transported to our partner hospital in Sri Lanka. Once you are safely detoxed, you will return to The Beekeeper to begin engaging in our extensive recovery programmes.
The Work Begins
The Beekeeper provides customised detox programs as a fully licensed detox and accredited rehabilitation centre in Sri Lanka. Before starting their residential treatment, all clients undergo a thorough medical evaluation to ensure they are medically stable. Our Medical Director assesses each client’s detoxification needs individually, determining the appropriate detox protocol based on their unique requirements. The duration of detox varies depending on the specific needs of each client.
The Beekeeper Sri Lanka is the centre where our residential programme is provided. Set in stunning gardens, our bespoke Sri Lanka rehab centre has been designed with recovery and restoration in mind. Each part of the centre caters to our client's needs to create a safe and conducive environment to ensure they can enjoy the serenity of the hilltops and jungle and access the city's amenities. This includes award-winning medical care provided in partnership with Durdans Hospital in Colombo, as well as a wide array of activities to enjoy during downtime.
The Beekeeper Sri Lanka is where the transformative journey begins, but the work doesn’t stop when clients leave our care. Ensuring that clients can safely transition back into their lives and continue to thrive is key. While much of the preparatory work is done during the residential programme, aftercare and ongoing support are crucial for long-term success. We provide continued support both locally in Sri Lanka for clients who wish to stay after treatment and through our global network of resources and connections to help guide clients on their ongoing recovery journey.
Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information about our service.
